This book is very cool. It is unforunate though that the title seems so exclusionary, since my daughter thoroughly loves it, as I’m sure a lot of girls will.
The Dangerous Book for Boys by Conn and Hal Iggulden, reaches back to an era before Xbox and Gameboys, when kids would spend their summers building forts, shooting tin cans with slingshots and skimming stones on a clear lake.
This book was a bestseller in the UK last year and this release has been revised for an American audience.
Included in the American edition are topics such as
- The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World
- Stickball
- Slingshots
- Fossils
- Building a Treehouse
- Making a Bow and Arrow
- Spies-Codes and Ciphers
- Making a Go-Cart
- Navajo Code Talkers’ Dictionary
- Cloud Formations
- Skimming Stones
- Making a Periscope
It is a lot of fun for everyone in the family, even girls!
