Some Frequently Asked Questions about Famundo for Organizations.

We’ve had some frequently asked questions from users of our Famundo for Organizations version, so I thought I would take this opportunity to answer them until we get our FAQ updated.
How can I make sure that the events on my calendar are only visible to our members and not the general public?
There are a number of situations where you may not want any of your calendar items public, but prefer them to be viewable by members only.
Famundo for Organizations does have the ability to add Members and assign viewing rights to members, but not the public. By using our Members feature, each member would be able to create their own login name and password. Here is further information on creating members.
There is a simpler way to do this if you don’t feel there is a need for individual logins and passwords, but rather can get by with just one login and password for all your members.
Create a new member and e-mail the inviation to yourself. When you receive the e-mail invitation, click on the link and create a new login and password.
Once you have created these, you can let all of your members know the new member login and password.
Be sure to set your default view access from “Public (Everyone)” to “All Staff and Members Only.” Here is more information on setting default view access.
Another question we are frequently asked is:
Can I use Famundo to manage my resources, like classrooms, meeting rooms, even projectors?
This can be accomplished by creating a new Calendar Category called Resources and individual calendars for each resource you need to manage. If some needs a resource at a particular time, they can check its availability and if it is available, schedule in the time they need to use it. When someone else needs that same resource, the can look at the calendar and see when it is or is not available. Here is some information on creating new Calendars and Calendar Categories.
