Staying Classy in San Diego

Sorry I haven’t posted recently, but I have been “staying classy” at the NECC (National Educational Computing Conference) in San Diego, and had nothing but trouble getting internet access in my hotel room. (my nightmare hotel experience could be the subject of another article sometime in the future, but I won’t bore you with the details here)
NECC was a huge show and Famundo created quite a buzz. I didn’t have much time to visit the other exhibitors, since we were so busy, so I really don’t have any new finds to report about.
It seems that there were a ton of CMS {Classroom Management System) solutions. One thing I want to make clear is that Famundo for Organizations is not a replacement for CMS, but rather an enhancement. We are the outward facing solution, the organizations face to the public, whether that be parents, students, parishoners, or whatever.
The idea behind Famundo is that the more organizations in you community that use Famundo, the easier it will be for you to aggregate the events that are important to you into your personal Famundo for Families calendar.
What we are about is building stronger, closer communities, one calendar at a time. The more organizations in your community that use Famundo, the more connected your community will become. There were a number of attendees at the conference that not only want to use Famundo for their schools, but also for their churches, scout troops and soccer teams.
